Alexey Molchanov is the world record holder in freediving

Alexey Molchanov is a Ukrainian freediver, coach, and multiple world record holder. He is one de the most decorated athletes in depth disciplines and is known worldwide for cold-water performances, consistent results, and his role in growing competitive and recreational freediving.

Across CMAS and AIDA formats he has set landmark marks in constant weight mondein (CWT), constant weight bifins (CWTB), free immersion (FIM), and related categories. His progression at depth is built on structured training, recovery, and a conservative approach to safety.

Outside competition he teaches, mentors athletes, and speaks about technique, equalisation, and mindset. His connection to Natalia Molchanova’s legacy continues to shape how he talks about excellence, humility, and respect for the water.
